It is increasingly common to look for an effective makeup, which adds something more to just eyeliner and mascara to make the look seductive and elegant. A makeup that can give this sophisticated effect is the smokey eyes, which has become a must among models, actresses, women of the show and not only.
Smokey eyes is an eye makeup consisting of different shades of eye shadow, pencil, mascara and if necessary it can be enriched with false eyelashes to make the look even more magnetic and seductive. But how is it done?
Black smokey eye makeup. But not only that.
Let's start with the choice of products. What we need is:
-two eyeshadows of the same shade but with different gradations;
-an easily blendable matte pencil;
-two mascaras, one to curl and the other to lengthen the lashes.
Before application, it is advisable to prepare the eyelid by applying a base so as to help with blending and color retention and make the colors more pigmented.
As for the application we need two brushes : one initial for applying the eyeshadow and another for blending.
Let's now move on to the steps to follow:
1.The first thing to apply is the primer evenly over the entire eyelid.
2.Then we move on to the pencil. We begin to apply it on the entire upper eyelid, starting from the outside to the inside. In this step it is not important to be extremely precise as we will then blend everything.
3. Let's start blending the pencil to make it less sharp. Let's blend the outer part of the eye outwards, and the inner part of the eye upwards.
4.Once you have finished the base with the pencil, you can move on to the eyeshadow. Start by applying the darker eyeshadow on the outer part of the eye, while the lighter one should be applied on the inside; here too, a drop brush for blending and an eyeshadow with an easily blendable texture are recommended. The blending should be delicate and turned from the inside out and then go up towards the end of the eye to create the "cat eye" effect, this effect in fact makes the look deep and magnetic. To improve this effect, we recommend applying a drop of concealer to better outline the area.
5. The last phase involves the application of mascara. A first application will be carried out with the thicker brush for all the lashes, after which with the mascara with the thin brush you will try to lengthen the lashes outwards , in order to make the effect more dramatic.
Once we have finished our smokey eyes, we recommend applying simple makeup to the rest of the face, so as to highlight our eyes.
Based on the color of your eyes, the greatest makeup artists have recommended which colors to use to create a smokey eye: for brown eyes, a smokey eye with colors such as green and bronze is recommended, for light eyes tending towards light blue, pink and blue colors are recommended, while for green eyes, purple, charcoal and brown are recommended.
impact effect with a vivid black. The peculiarity of this makeup is in the nuance, in fact you do not choose two similar nuances but you opt, almost always, for black and gray, both matte or satin.
Blue smokey eyes
The light blue smokey eye is definitely the most eccentric and particular version; in recent years we have witnessed a comeback of this type of make up, a real revival of the 90s. Blue, like light blue, definitely goes perfectly with brown eyes, but with the right choice of shades it also combines well with light blue eyes. The great make up artists recommend for light eyes the choice of darker nuances tending towards midnight blue while for brown and hazel eyes the classic light blue goes perfectly, in short light blue is able to make the look intense and at the same time enigmatic and super particular. There are some small tricks to change your look, you can in fact combine a black pencil to intensify the look or blend the color with shimmer eyeshadows to make the eyes shine.
