ROBERTO CAVALLI
Roberto Cavalli
A name that has been synonymous with nonconformism and innovation for over 40 years. In fact, the first Cavalli collection presented in Florence and Milan dates back to 1972. Cavalli had a creative destiny in his DNA. The grandson of a famous Macchiaiolo painter, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he had already begun his studies on the application of paint to fabrics. After completing his studies, his experiments with fabrics, materials and colours attracted the attention of Pierre Cardin and Hermès, and so we arrive in 1972, with the official debut at the Milan and Florentine fashion shows and the opening of the first boutique in Saint-Tropez. The research on prints and colours continued, and in the 90s, animalier, together with inlaid leather and brocades, became the signature of the designer, whose style was increasingly appreciated and unmistakable. Iconic pieces of the maison will also be the jeans in stretch Lycra blend and those aged by subjecting them to a special treatment with sand. At the turn of the century, the Cavalli brand is present in 40 countries, and the Just Cavalli, Angels & Devils, RC Menswear lines are born. At the same time, watches, accessories, perfumes and underwear signed Cavalli are launched on the market. For the designer, who has always preferred to be considered an artist, fashion is not just something to wear, but to live, in a 360° immersive experience. Those who wear Cavalli are ambassadors of a brand that transmits optimism, luxury and nonconformism. The creations of the maison are full of personality, and the perfumes are no exception. There are around 47 perfumes on the market branded Roberto Cavalli , of which Just Cavalli is certainly the best-known line, with proposals for her, for him and unisex. Other lines of the house are Roberto Cavalli (with feminine and unisex fragrances) and Roberto Cavalli Uomo. The Paradiso, Florence and Serpentine lines are exclusively feminine, while the Gold Collection perfume proposal is unisex, which includes the iconic Baroque Musk. Aimed at both male and female customers, this perfume launched in 2016 balances the woody notes of Ylang Ylang with the citrus Neroli and the warm and decisive fragrance of musk. The proposal of unisex perfumes is however very varied, and does not stop only at woody and musky fragrances. For those who prefer floral ingredients and more delicate fragrances there is for example Roberto Cavalli Tiger Oud. On the market since 2013, it is classified among the oriental floral fragrances. The rose aroma is combined with that of Agarwood, intense and enveloping. Among the feminine perfumes, Just Cavalli for Her continues to enjoy timeless success. Belonging to the floral perfume category, it also contains Neroli. The floral note is given by the presence of Tahitian Tiarè, while rosewood provides the base note. An evergreen among men's fragrances is Just Cavalli for Him, whose success began in 2004 and continues to this day. It belongs to the aromatic - fougère range of perfumes. This olfactory family includes formulations obtained by combining lavender, woods, bergamot and various types of musk. The perfumes in this range are typically masculine, as in the case of Just Cavalli for Him, where bergamot and rosemary, combined with geranium, musk and cedar create an unmistakable fragrance , which has become one of the trademarks of the maison.
