EIGHT & BOB
Eight & Bob
Eight & Bob is an exclusive fragrance company that has been producing perfumes for both men and women since the early twentieth century.
It all started with a Parisian aristocrat, Albert Fouquet, who experimented and perfected a large number of essences in his room to then display them during social events attended by the French elite of the time.
Initially, however, the French aristocrat (always aided by his butler) did not want his creations to be commercialized: the turning point was the meeting with a young American student. John FK, this was the boy's name, was struck by the extraordinary fragrance that Albert was wearing and the latter, as a sign of friendship, left him a sample at the end of the vacation.
Not long after, the French genius was asked by John himself for a larger quantity of samples to satisfy the requests of his American friends with a wording that stated that he wanted eight samples plus one for a certain Bob and Albert, unaware of what was happening, decided to indulge his friend's wishes by creating a real perfect package to send to America complete with a brand that recalled the pattern of one of the shirts that John himself was wearing at their meeting and a nice label that said "Eight & Bob" given the friend's request.
It was from this simple gift that Albert began to receive large and important requests from directors, producers and actors of the Hollywood scene and the brand "Eight and Bob" became famous. Unfortunately, Albert was involved in a car accident that caused his death and with it the end of the success of his fragrance, despite the subsequent efforts of his butler Philippe before the start of the Second World War.
The latter also took care to protect the formula of Albert's creation from the attack of the Nazis and it was only thanks to this that the Eight & Bob essence was recovered decades later becoming one of the most exclusive and elegant colognes.
Today, each fragrance in the Eight & Bob range takes you on a journey through all the places and experiences lived by the French aristocrat during his short life. He travelled extensively in search of the most original fragrances and the most aphrodisiac perfumes: we particularly remember the trip to Chile that Andrea gave him, the name given to the wild plant whose extracts led to the birth of his successful fragrance. It is worth noting that this plant can only be harvested in the months of December and January and undergoes a very rigorous selection process after harvesting in which only a tiny quantity is chosen: this underlines the preciousness and rarity of this brand and its limited production .
