Jean Louis David is a hairstylist and a true visionary of hairdressing. He opened his first salon in 1961 in Paris, quickly achieving success thanks to his innovative techniques and his passion for feminine beauty . In 1970, he created the famous layered cut to free women from the bondage of austere haircuts. His goal was to offer the widest possible clientele a range of hairstyles that met their expectations.

Building on his media success and his talent as a businessman, Jean Louis David built a true empire through the franchising system, which allowed him to develop a network of salons bearing his name, the first in Europe and the second in the world.
