MARC JACOBS

Marc Jacobs is a very successful and world-famous American designer. He was born in New York on April 9, 1963 and immediately became a style icon, thanks also to his collaboration with important international fashion brands. In 1984 he entered Parson's School of Design, where he designed his first clothing line, which bore his own name and after two years the women's version of this initiative was launched. Until 2013, for about twenty years, he collaborated with Louis Vuitton on many joint projects, also becoming creative director of some. Little is known about his private life, we know that he was married to a model, Lorenzo Martone, from whom he later separated, but no statements were released by either of them regarding this relationship. Despite the enormous success achieved thanks to the originality that distinguished his clothes, the infamous American decided not to stop and to continue his work, proposing new initiatives. For these reasons, convinced that perfume fully reflects an individual's personality, as well as their way of dressing, he decided to invest in this project. So he created, alongside the collections of clothes, leather goods, sunglasses, another of innovative perfumes , which is still growing today, the first was created in 2001 and the last dates back to 2019 itself. The first women's perfume was launched, in fact, eighteen years ago, with the name Marc Jacobs, without other names, and is characterized by floral notes, based on bergamot, musk and violet. In 2007, he invented a line, exclusively dedicated to enhancing the figure of women, giving, in this way, an extra touch to their femininity . It was called Daisy, an English term that translates into Italian as daisy. In fact, all perfumes belonging to this category have a floral base fragrance, as can be easily seen from the bottle or the cap. Among these, the most famous are Daisy Blush and Daisy Dream. The first one reminds us of spring, thanks to its scents based on lily of the valley and honeysuckle, while the second one is characterized by a sparkling mix of flowers and fruit. The floral notes are given by jasmine and lichti and the fruity ones, by blackberry, grapefruit and pear. A variant of this perfume was created in collaboration with Alberto Morillas, a Spanish perfumer, who invented numerous fragrances. This one, in particular, was enriched with notes of musk and coconut. One of the most recent, which has achieved great success, is Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence, which owes its particularity to the oriental fragrance , which distinguishes it and makes it suitable for use both every day and on important occasions. As for perfumes for men, however, the repertoire available, up to now, is much less wide. The most famous are two. One dates back to 2002, known as Marc Jacobs Men EDT, woody and elegant. The other, known as Bang Bang, comes in a very particular blue package and its smell is based on musk, lemon, sandalwood and cardamom. The unisex fragrances of this brand are two and they are: Marc Jacobs Splash Rain and Marc Jacobs Splash Pear, both characterized by delicate notes and suitable for both men and women.
