RENATO BALESTRA

The fragrance line associated with the Renato Balestra brand was born in 1978 with Balestra. The brand launched with a women's line in collaboration with the Chypre Floreale group. It is a perfume with powdery notes that hark back to the 1980s, with a strong olfactory impact that then fades to rose and musk. In 1997, the men's line was launched with Argento pour Homme by Balestra. The top notes are cardamom, neroli, mandarin, and lime. The heart notes of Argento pour Homme are lily of the valley and coriander. The remaining base notes are patchouli and oakmoss. Around the same time, Oro by Renato Balestra was released, a very unique perfume for the women's line. It is a very spicy, captivating fragrance with notes of mandarin and pink pepper that immediately strike the nose. Oakmoss, which now characterizes the Renato Balestra line along with coriander, is always present. These two fragrances are the starting point for Renato Balestra's entire collection for women and men, which therefore complements his stylistic creations. This is followed by the celebration of Casa Balestra's now historic storefront at Via Sistina 67, with a production of both men's and women's fragrances named after the address of Balestra's first atelier. Via Sistina 67 is therefore a celebratory fragrance, and as such, its top notes recall mandarin and bergamot while maintaining the woody fragrance typical of Balestra Parfum . The women's version, created by Bertrand Duchaufour, features blackcurrant, mandarin, and pear, while the fragrance settles on aromas of jasmine, lily of the valley, and Brazilian rosewood. Diamante Nero and Diamante Nero pour Homme were released in 2009 and 2011, respectively. The women's version features a pleasant new fruity note, featuring cranberry and tamarind. The base notes return to patchouli and vanilla. Diamante Nero pour Homme, on the other hand, surprises with its top notes of red apple and mint. Later, aromas of musk, Virginia cedar, and vanilla emerge. Late 2012 and 2015 saw the release of Essenza Divina for women and Caesar for men. The latter features a predominant impact of sage, myrtle, and pomegranate, then settles into a traditional base of patchouli, musk, and cedar. Essenza Divina, on the other hand, uses bergamot and blackcurrant as top notes, then transitions into jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley.
