Designer Cerruti, son of textile industrialists, inherited his father's business in 1950. Over the years, he invested in research, development and design of materials that allowed the designer to be successful. Thus he opened his first Boutique in 1967 in Paris. His production expanded, with the birth of the women's line and the production and distribution of knitwear, shirts and the casual line.
In 1978, the brand's first men's perfume was launched, simply called Nino Cerruti.
The brand's popularity increased significantly when the brand was appointed as the official designer of the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
Over time, other perfumes were launched. Among them Cerruti 1881 Pour Homme and Pour Femme, the men's perfume Cerruti Image and the women's version of the same.
