Revlon was born in 1932, thanks to the intuition of the brothers Charles Joseph Revson and the chemist Charles Lachman, from whom the L in the name derives. The three have gone down in the history of cosmetics for having produced and sold the first modern nail polish. They had an idea that was considered revolutionary for the time: instead of using paints, they thought of using real pigments as bases for the colors, in this way they had the possibility of expanding the chromatic range and definitively entered the Olympus of world cosmetics. In the 1950s they launched lipsticks on the market, and then continued with lines of face and eye cosmetics.
