It is an aqueous solution that, when applied in the form of a mist, has the property of penetrating the skin bed in general, the nail and subungual in particular, rapidly lowering its pH. In this way it modifies and keeps under control the microenvironment of the skin and nail, which become hostile to the proliferation of fungal, bacterial and viral germs.
