Marvis è un marchio fiorentino registrato nel 1958 dal conte Franco Cella di Rivara, con un'idea precisa: un dentifricio pensato per i fumatori, dal gusto di menta deciso e dalla confezione curata come poche altre. Quella confezione, con la grafica vintage e il tubetto che sembra uscito da un'altra epoca, è diventata parte del prodotto tanto quanto la pasta che contiene. Dal 1997 Marvis fa parte di Ludovico Martelli, azienda toscana con sede a Fiesole, e la produzione resta interamente italiana, nello stabilimento di Firenze. Il Classic Strong Mint è il primo gusto creato ed è ancora il più venduto dell'intera gamma: una menta forte, netta, che lascia la bocca pulita a lungo. Intorno a questo si è sviluppata negli anni una collezione di aromi insoliti che ha reso il marchio un piccolo oggetto di culto anche fuori dall'Italia.
