It was born in 1890 from the passion of a German hairdresser, who developed innovations in the field of hair care.
Over time, Wella patented a machine capable of creating artificial curls, selling it to salons and also supplying the basic chemical agent for the perm.
It then produced a portable perm machine, created the first protective hair conditioner, and, after the war, launched a do-it-yourself hair dye kit.
